Despite their immense air combat skills and advanced weaponry, the Raven drones were shot down and reduced to their cockpit units who kept fighting. Once the Oseans realized the drones' intentions, they sent the Strider Squadron, as well as Erusean conservatives and and Voslage separatists, to stop them. However, the elevator was offline thanks to Avril Mead and Princess D'Elise's actions, and the drones had to wait for it to come back online to fulfill their plan. The drones planned to use the space elevator to transmit their flight data to drone factories all over Usean continent, allowing them to produce an endless number of robots even more advanced than Hugin and Munin, perpetuating the Lighthouse War. Hugin and Munin attacked their enemies, causing a number of casualties and forcing them to retreat. They took off and reached the International Space Elevator where the united Osean and Erusean Conservative forces had by that point already defeated the Erusean Radicals, the ones who pursued the drone program in the first place. Shroeder before Mihaly's granddaughter destroyed the data disk in anger. They were the only two who received said data from Dr. Shilage to help the country's air force win the Lighthouse War. Those drones were to be supplied with the flight data obtained from the Erusean ace Mihaly A. This is a reference to warriors brought to Valhalla that were connected to Odin's Valkyries.Hugin and Munin were produced by Grunder Industries as part of their military drone program. In Norse mythology, one of Odin's abilities is to guide souls to the afterlife. Odin's knot or the Valknut, is a symbol of life and death. It represents a central tenet for much of Norse mythology - each and everything is in a constant state of transformation. Its roots represent the nine realms of existence, both the seen and unseen worlds. The Yggdrasil is at the center of both worlds: immortal and mortal. The vegvisir literally translates into Way guide. It is a representation of the different paths to take, and a guide to mortals. The Vegvisir is a symbol to help find one's path, also known as the Viking compass and a symbol for protecting one's self. These are traditional to Norse toasting rituals and are connected to the myths of Odin's quest to attain magic mead, or draughts in Norse mythology. It depicts three interlocked horns that are drinking vessels. The triple horn of Odin is an emblem of Odin. There is another variation of the symbol that is often found, making it even harder to decipher. The idea was that they would sleep so deeply, they would have trouble waking up. The sleep thorn, or Svefnthorn was commonly used as a weapon to induce sleep in enemies. The symbol has also been depicted as a symbol of fertility, and often found in weddings and homes. It is a magical weapon that acts as a boomerang - it always returns to his hand. Huginn is the representation of thought while Muninn and memory are symbolic of thought and memory. Ravens hold special significance in Norse mythology as a representation of death and transformation. Huginn and Muninn represent Odin's ravens as well as the concept of duality. The point of the spear has powers that improve its aim and speed. It is carved by dwarves – the most powerful in the realm. Gungnir is Odin's magical spear and a representation of absolute power and authority. Eight is connected to Odin's eight-legged horse Sleipnir, which has also been associated with protection. There are eight tridents, which is an association with Odin. The Aegishjalmur (also known as Aegir's helmet) is a symbol of protection and power.
